本文是原文的阉割版，原文主要包括伊监控和应对两个部分，我这里只翻译了前一部分。倒不是畏惧或者守护什么，只是实在是怠惰了，后面应对的那部分没有翻译的激情了……好吧，祈祷这个坑以后会被填上。

其实，当时看到这个东西，觉得写得挺通俗，挺好。你我都知道的，虽然国内大推英语教育，但是英文恐惧还是一个非常普遍的现象。所以我前几天一冲动就决心把它翻译了。说到初衷么，还是那句话，我不愿意像那位德国牧师一样。其实不求改变什么，就像濮存昕在一则公益广告里说的那样，“灯光亮一些，我们身边的黑暗就会少一些 ”，了解桎梏的人多一些，我们离自由就更近一些。

与其说我有着公民的责任感，倒不如说我很享受那种嚼饭喂人的快感。毕竟我是一个人性本恶论者，而且对很多朋友跟我说的那种“民主”和“自由”毫无兴趣。

这是本人第一次尝试翻译文章，一直在直译和意译之间徘徊不定，信达雅果然不是随便说说的事情。个人的举棋不定，直接导致了翻译风格的前后不统一，还望各位海涵。

另外，由于某些科技在天朝发展得极为强大，并得到了世界的广泛研究，在任何一个关于防火墙的讨论中，都不可避免的要把GFW拿出来作为比较的靶子。出于一些娱乐性的原因，我把那部分内容都和谐掉了。倒不是我不敢写，而是我觉得有些东西，自己出于好奇去找，效果要比被动地听我在这里说好得多。嗯，就像奥巴马那段和谐讲话一样。

下面的翻译中，绿色背景的内容表示我也不是很确定到底如何翻译比较好，蓝色背景的是我自己写的一些注释，黄色背景是原文的加亮标记。

Description: Iran has always been a land of filtering, but in recent months pressure on sites and blogs has increased. Recently, about 100 bloggers signed a declaration that condemns filtering and call for freedom of speech. They also asked the end of filtering. The declaration says that freedom of media has become more restricted than before. In recent weeks, several blogs and sites, especially the ones that write about political and social issues, have been filtered [blocked]. Several women’s blogs that are filtered too. At the same time, pro-government blogs and sites continue their activity and enjoy freedom. The declaration also notes that filtering and censorship are against the Declaration of Universal Human Rights.

Outcome:It is very difficult to imagine that Iranian blogs’ protest against filtering can have any practical effect on the Iranian government. But when 100 blogs sign a declaration together, it shows that the cyber world is not a divided space.

Ease of Replication: It is easy to post a declaration on your blog. The hard part is getting other people to sign it. This is a classic organizing task. You need to contact people and organizations who you think also care about the issue - using e-mail, listservs, social networking groups and any other mass communication tools at hand - to convince people to sign your declaration.

A few months ago Jomhour, a very active blogger from Iran said: “many Iranian websites in general, and political ones in particular, have been filtered. In the last two years filtering and censorship has become worse. Especially many blogs by women were filtered. It is not really important what you blog about.If you are a woman, there is a real risk that your blog will get filtered. Political sites and blogs written by reformists and nationalist-religious people are targeted too. But the blogs hit the worst by filtering, belong to civil society activists such as students, women, and worker activists.”

Mapping Iran’s Online Public: Politics and Culture in the Persian Blogosphere

摘要：We used computational social network mapping in combination with human and automated content analysis to analyze the Iranian blogosphere. In contrast to the conventional wisdom that Iranian bloggers are mainly young democrats critical of the regime, we found a wide range of opinions representing religious conservative points of view as well as secular and reform-minded ones, and topics ranging from politics and human rights to poetry, religion, and pop culture. Our research indicates that the Persian blogosphere is indeed a large discussion space of approximately 60,000 routinely updated blogs featuring a rich and varied mix of bloggers. Social network analysis reveals the Iranian blogosphere to be dominated by four major network formations, or poles, with identifiable sub-clusters of bloggers within those poles. We label the poles as 1) Secular/Reformist, 2) Conservative/Religious, 3) Persian Poetry and Literature, and 4) Mixed Networks. (Click here for the map image.) The secular/reformist pole contains both expatriates and Iranians involved in a dialog about Iranian politics, among many other issues. The conservative/religious pole contains three distinct sub-clusters, two focused principally on religious issues and one on politics and current affairs. Given the repressive political and media environment, and high profile arrests and harassment of bloggers, one might not expect to find much political contestation in the blogosphere. However, we identified a subset of the secular/reformist pole focused intently on politics and current affairs and comprised mainly of bloggers living inside Iran, which is linked in contentious dialog with the conservative political sub-cluster. Surprisingly, a minority of bloggers in the secular/reformist pole appear to blog anonymously, even in the more politically-oriented part of it; instead, it is more common for bloggers in the religious/conservative pole to blog anonymously. Blocking of blogs by the government is less pervasive than we had assumed. Most of the blogosphere network is visible inside Iran, although the most frequently blocked blogs are clearly those in the secular/reformist pole. Given the repressive media environment in Iran today, blogs may represent the most open public communications platform for political discourse. The peer-to-peer architecture of the blogosphere is more resistant to capture or control by the state than the older, hub and spoke architecture of the mass media model.

January 30th, Solidarity of Bloggers with the Imprisoned Iranian Students

A large group of Iranian bloggers have decided to show their solidarity with tens of Iranian students who are imprisoned by the administration. More information, in Persian, is given in this blog.

This is the statement issued by the organizers (revised by me for grammatical mistakes in the original text),

Solidarity of Bloggers with the Imprisoned Iranian Students

“There is no doubt winter will have an end

And, the post of spring will come to our land

With thousands of flowers in his hand

Certainty it will come,

That other should be passed”

The spring is coming while many Iranian students are still behind the bars. Here is the names of some of them,

In the past month and half, many students from different cities and universities have been arrested, on charges related to holding peaceful ceremonies for the celebration of the 7th of November, the National Day for Students. They have been behind the bars since. During these days, their families have not been able to visit them and only some of them have been given the chance to have short phone calls with the inmates. This has caused a lot of anxiety and tension for the families and has resulted in their many protests in order to pressure the government to release the students, to no avail.

We honor the freedom-loving students of Iran, some of whom are also bloggers, and thus on January 30th we rename our blogs to “Bloggers’ Solidarity with Imprisoned Iranian Students”.

We wish the release of our friends.

Bloggers protest against crackdown

A big campaign has been organized by Iranian bloggers to protest against the recent arrests and the violent crackdown on the Internet.

A big number of them have decided not only to copy the news from banned websites into their own blogs, but even to symbolically change the name of their blogs to "Emrooz", the banned website which still operates, on Monday.

Hundreds of Iranian bloggers have announced their support for the protest and the number is growing rapidly. However, the protest needs some publicity by Western media to be enough effective.

Update:

- Persian media have picked up the news with great interest: BBC Persian, Radio Farda, Iran Newspaper (in Tehran), etc.

- Abtahi, the blogger vice-president, has supported the protest in a new post titled "Emrooz" and has said that Mostafa Tajzadeh, the top reformist politician behind Emrooz website, is totally impressed by the wide-spread support of the Persian blogosphere.

- Ignasio has gathered a rather big list of participating blogs with quotes from them in Persian.

- Mostafa Tajzadeh, the man in charge of Emrooz, has thanked all who participated in the protest. I'll try to summerize it later in a separate post.

- Initial reaction by the hardline conservatives appeared in Jomhouri-e Eslami, the radical newsppaer as a personal attack to me, which, in Iran, is seen as a symbol of honor and many respected intellectuals and political activists have recieved it.

据俄罗斯新闻网报道，英国广播公司(BBC)1月24日发表声明指出，伊朗当局已全面封锁公司创办的波斯语网站，公司希望伊朗政府能恢复入网许可，保证伊朗公民自由浏览BBC波斯语网页。

1月24日，英国BBC波斯语网站女编辑西马·阿利涅扎德表示，网站统计结果表明，最近3天，在有报道称伊朗当局封锁网站后，网站访问量急剧减少三分之一。网页封锁最初只在伊朗地方各省份进行，最后扩大到首都德黑兰。到1月24日晚，只有为数不多的人能访问波斯语网站。

伊朗当局对此事没有发表任何评论。不过，多年以来，“美国之音”和“自由广播电台”开办的波斯语网站早已在伊朗境内被全面封锁。

英国广播公司24日发表对声明，对德黑兰的做法表示担心，宣称封锁网站只会剥夺许多伊朗人最为信任的消息来源。公司已向伊朗政府提出申请，希望能解除对波斯语网站的封锁。

英国广播公司创办的波斯语网站比较受欢迎，每月访问量3000万人次。不过，BBC对中东地区的波斯语广播未受影响，在继续正常播出，公司英文网站也一切正常。(1月25日电)
