I have dated a Libra man for 7 years and my father is also a Libra so I am use to them. Libra have a little trouble when it comes to commitment. I think we all idealize the love and tend to go off in wisps of fantasy and future that find all the good in our partners...and most likely try to find the opposite in this in order to keep things balances. So things are certainly never sure..mostly in the the middle, where we want them to stay.

I've been dating a Libra for 5 months now and feel that I've found my soulmate. When he first saw me, he told himself that he had to talk to me. I had walked by him and accidentally brushed his back with my arm (he told me). I sat down at a video poker machine and this is where he struck up conversation. He was very sweet, funny, nice to talk to. By the end of the evening, he reached for my hand and held it as we talked. Hey common sense, I 'never' said I pushed any marriage issue. Never even mentioned any such thing.. but (i said to him upfront I'm looking for someone that wants to try to commit to at least one year, no flings...) Just wondering why Libra's, over any other astrological sign take so long to decide 'anything'. It seams like they want a sure sure thing!! and will only push forward when or if they are dumped or a good prodding. Very unlike Cancer or Taurus who will prod you.
My past libra boyfriend did not profess undying love till I ended it after 2 1/2 years. He even followed me across the country 6 months later but I made it very clear before hand I was done and would not wait any longer to be a priority.

I agree with you completely Virgo 78. Not worth the headache and I've dated two Libra's. I can be friends but the first one took three years to realize he was in love and to stop being indecisive. This other one still can't decide to make me a priority over friends.

Libra is often slow to propose and will do so in "the heat of the moment", if at all. Ultimatums dont work and will push in the opposite direction with a Libra.

I married a Libra (Libra Sun, Libra Moon, Libra Rising uh huh) - he gave me 2 hours notice. Yes, 2 hours to get ready for our wedding! We had been living together for 4 years already, a child and friends for many years previous.

Libra wants the romance but you must provide it to them. Marriage is much out of convinience- social norms and family values dont sway them although how they look to their family is important (much like a Capricorn when choosing to settle down). I dated another Libra after marriage to one didnt work. 2nd Libra proposed on a whim (and talk of prenup- Libra men like prenups) but then rethought it and bounced back and forth- they ARE NOT worth the headache.

Hey thanks for the reply. For I had seen a lot of that among friends..(the taking forever part). I am an Aquarius and am pretty new to dating this libra man. (we met four mts ago. We are getting along on every level and it is flowing wonderfully. Not one even little argument yet.

I would agree with what you said about a libra man. Mine is very much romantic, very loving and kind, easy going, flirtatious, little bit lazy around the home, loves to talk about himself. ;P lol. and indecisive to all the small stuff. To answer your post, my libra fiance said he had never found anybody that he wanted to propose to because he wasn't TRUELY in love with them. He has been in three relationships of 5+ years.

Best thing about our gemini- libra relationship: we both love beauty, intelligence, independence (good job, happiness, values), travel. We love to go out and come home to just be with me and him. Most importantly: we both want HAPPINESS, not dark and moodiness!

Libra men (as I see them): from a gemini point of view: we agrue about very minor things really, nothing huge, he hates doing that stuff. I can't imagine Libra making the final decision to propose. Not a put down, I love this sign, but every libra friend (man or woman) I have, waited forever to propose or is still waiting. It seems like the libra would need a good prodding from their mate.
Any thoughts on this please. How do you get them to propose faster then five to seven years of waiting? LOL! And lets say the chemistry and friendship is wonderful too.

There were signs that our engagement was coming up. I reacted impulsively and a little childish. I told him to give me my Valenine's day present right now or to just leave. He proposed to me in my bedroom right there. He told me later that I had ruined plans to take me out that night where he was going to propose at some restaurant.

My fiance is a libra, and oh boy does this description ever fit.
We went down to the Florida Keys, where he had made a reservation at Altitudes Resturant, on a separated little key called Sunset Key. Aparently this resturant is number 2 in the whole state.
We took a boat to sunset key, then ate a fabulous dinner on the beach at this breath-taking resturant. There were fire toarches in the said, with a view of the ocean all around us. After dinner, we took a walk on the white sand beach, he waited exactly untill sunset to propose. It was literally perfect.
