I'm a gemini with way too much earth and fire on the side and one of my good friends, is basically nothing but taurus, through and through. We meet at odds constantly because we both don't know how to do anything but be blunt and to the point. So our mental horns are locked in endless and inevitable battle. Our stubborness and pride ensuring that neither of us will ever give up!

My taurus male has alot of earth, fire, and water in him. But not a lot of air! And being a libra female, I can be very bossy at times. But I have watery emotion (Im a scorpio moon) and I have a lot of fire in my rising (saggitarius). Im still struggling with it. It's hard to convince him anything without benefit to himself, and he can also be extremely greedy. He tends to not remember the things he has done wrong, but can tell me all my faults to a key. He has a cancer moon and a leo rising, so that pretty much my tactic. I play to his watery side (needing, sensible, caring) and stroke his ego. He's usually open to anything once I warm his heart. It pays to be subtle, so he can eventually believe the ideas were actually his own. Its certainly not fun to have to be the submissive part of the relationship, but once you learn to manipulate things without letting him realize your game, you realize the power lays in your hands, not his.

Help, I am in love with a Taurus male and I am a Scorpio female. I have known him for several years, as we used to do business together. When I met him I was married on my way to divorce. Over the years he has always kept in contact with my sporadically calling me out of the blue to find out how I am and what's going on. I have been divorced for a few years now and when he called me one day I suggested that we meet for a drink (no strings attached - we just always have great convo and lots in common). After meeting him for that drink I realized how charming he was and we started talking on a more frequent basis (for hours on end at least 2-3 times per week) he works crazy hours (owns his own business) but we enjoy talking and have lots of laughs. Ok I am IN LOVE WITH THIS MAN and I have to have him. I recently started professing my love to him, he thinks I am dillusional and doesn't really believe me (I think - he may be playing and has the need to feel desired) but he keeps referencing my ex-husband who I am SO over. We had sex once (unexpectedly) a few months ago and he kind of lost his mind right after "he started saying that I made him weak, etc" -- so I figured ok won't be getting that good stuff again any time soon) once he even said "you made me feel like a 17 year old high school boy that night" (but I'm a scorpio we can't help it) however after a week after that incident I was able to baby walk him back to our regular state (he seemed so scared after we had that initial incident) so things are back to normal now but I have to have him and yeah I know they have to slowly think everything out... but does ANYONE have any ideas on what I need to do in order to get this man because I KNOW he likes me. He's a man who works from 9am until midnight most days so if he didn't like I am sure he wouldn't waste his time always talking to me. I am a great cook, etc. I can even cook entrees from his native country (as we are both from the same country) but I got to get the man over my house again in order to feed him. His b-day is coming up do I send him something or is that too aggressive - what do I need to do? Any and all advice is welcomed!!

As a Taurus, here's what works with me.

Ask for my help when you sincerely need it. I often notice myself if someone needs help & just pitch right in quietly. Don't take advantage of me, if you do & I figure it out - I'll probably just start avoiding you. Don't whine. Reciprocate from time to time, shameless moochers get dropped off my list quick (unless they are relatives, then that's just the way it is). Don't embarrass me by thanking me in front of others, speak well of me privately instead. If I've helped you repeatedly, be loyal and don't badmouth or criticize me behind my back (nothing I despise more than a hypocrite). If I don't offer to help you, it's that I don't want to - I'm busy with something else, I don't like you, I don't think you really need it, etc.

As a Taurus Rising with Venus in Leo (fixed again) I have great trouble making myself do anything, even when I'm very much aware of how necessary getting some things done is. Studying for instance.
Then, as soon as I get finished with one little piece of a million pieces puzzle - I reward myself (mostly by spending time doing nothing, lol), like I moved a mountain.

Now, there's a trick with me - you can't bribe me to do anything, don't know if it's for my Cancer Sun, or for Venus in proud Leo, so until I decide I'll finish whatever the job is nothing moves me to do so. Luckily I'm smart enough to move myself (often when the deadline is getting damn close) or I wouldn't do anything with my life and myself.

Nagging is the MOST annoying thing to do to a Taurus. Present me your facts and your pros and cons, but a constant nag is usually a positive NO from a taurus to your request.

Great advice, Jeff. Let us know waaaaaaaaay in advance. If we haven't acted on it, it doesn't mean we forgot. We are sitting back and waiting for the right moment to strike. :)

Yes! he loves his home cooked meals--always!
I read someone here saying something about cooking for a Cancer--but I've found Taureans are even more into their food.
He's very thin, but while, I'm not, I don't care about meals and such--he wants his cooked meals-always, LOL

Anyway, my husband is a Taurus,with Aquarius Moon and I can (occasionally) get him to do things, LOL.
My moon is Taurus too, though not conjunct his Sun.
I probably am stubborn emotionally(who me?)but my husband does Take the cake.
I tell him straightforwardly, no big prelude very little drama(if I can manage;-)]and I don't explain long windedly.
I sometimes tell him it's something difficult to talk about, or sweetly ask him to please listen patiently for my sake.
I am accustomed to explaining, and talking, and details--most of which he doesn't want to hear, but does want to hear the facts he needs to know what I'm talking about or what he's deciding about.
You know what's a good one?
If he does something I like and have suggested, or hinted about, I say things like"Oh that was so clever of you to try that"LOL.

I had a Taurus boss and we worked closely together (the only two in our department). Since part of our jobs were to go out on sales calls, we would "reward" ourselves with long lunches (her fav hobby!), pedicures, or whatever...I would bring up any ideas that might not go over well with her during these outings. While she ate, I'd wait until she gave her first moan of ecstasy before broaching a sticky subject. She was all ears!

I also noticed that one of her closest friends (another Taurus) would always bring her a homemade dish right before asking her for a favor. It always worked like clockwork. That was the only time I wished I could cook. lol

I'm a Taurian female and these suggestions are good. However, with myself I've noticed that subtle movements work best. Posing the idea of the intended action, letting it sink in, not rushing for an immediate response, and then providing some positive things that may come from it. Taurians do a lot for others, to the point that they martyr themselves a bit. Positive reinforcement and showing your appreciation goes far with them. I have to absorb things first - think them through. Once I've accepted it and considered all angles - I move forward.

This is perfect for me! I have two taurus kids!
I can coax my son into doing stuff with cash. I can coax my daughter with entertainment of some sort.

Even things like getting them to rid of old baby toys (they are now 14 nad 11) its a chore. I paid my son to get rid of them. Then my daughter was offered a concert from a friend, I used that to get her to toss her old baby toys. They are such pack rats!
