...is 'bound' to be felled as on the other side is the funds that the government could earn by selling the land. It is rumored to be around rupees 20 crores only.

And this is not helping matters. I hope the survival skills of the birds would see them through :-O

Don't forget to check your drains five to ten minutes after the rainfall :D Notice the circular waves of the individual drops all around with the pressure of drain etc

The rainfall subsides...

The sky was overcast from morning and heavy showers accompanied by lightning began around 0930hrs. By 1030 hrs the rainfall has subsided to drizzling.

Winters in Jalandhar 2006AD, the temperature used to get so low that, in the morning, even in moderate sunlight, we could see heavy dew on grass (re the plants, I think the soil must have absorbed the water, i.e. why no dew there).

It had been raining since evening and seeing the beautiful lightning and my digital camera, I decided to give it a try.

Making myself secure from any chance of bolt and rain I began shooting...I soon realized it would require more than just motivation.

So I brought my tripod, set the mode to rapid shoot and pointed to the clouds where there was more activity and kept the shutter depressed till there was a good amount of lightning...and here is the result.......-)
