Victius in Australia during summer on building sites the unions have reps with a thermometer and they get paid to watch it all day. When the temperature reaches 100°F they shut the site down, everyone goes home and gets paid for the full day. Builders love Feburary!

I might point out though that my brother is currently in Darwin for his anual winter fishing holiday and is moaning about it being cold. It is ofcourse a lot cooler than that here in Perth, might reach 20°C today.

So the health service actually pays someone to stare at a temperature gauge all day and send emails (telling everyone what they already know) when it reaches certain levels.
